Travel systems are an extremely convenient way to take your little ones on road trips. However, most travel systems are only designed to be used with one child. Very few strollers will accept multiple car seats, which means that parents of twins often have to stick with traditional strollers. Don’t lose hope, though! You’ve got options. We’ve asked our kids & baby expert, Jenny L. Brown, to round up the best twin strollers with car seats.
Below, you’ll find reviews of Jenny’s favorite travel system options for parents with twins. She’s come up with a couple different ways to go, so you can choose the twin stroller and car seat combo that’s best your you!

Best Twin Stroller With Car Seat Reviews: Our Favorite Travel System Options
Graco DuoGlider Click Connect
“This Graco travel system is my top recommendation for folks who want to go all-in with one specific brand. There are a lot of advantages to doing so. Since the stroller doesn’t have to work with any other brands’ connectors, it can be a lot less bare-bones. It has its own infant seats, but you can snap the car seats right into them to make the stroller into a travel system. You also get adjustable footrests, which you won’t find on any of the universal frames. All in all, the DuoGlider is user-friendly and convenient. It’s my suggestion to parents on a budget who want to keep it simple and avoid having to choose between all the different car seat brands to fill out their travel system.
The Graco DuoGlider will work with any Graco car seats that use the brand’s Click Connect system. You’ll probably want to go with the new SnugRide, since it’s the latest and safest offered. For convenience and affordability, it’s hard to beat the Graco DuoGlider Click Connect as the best twin stroller with car seat.
I’ve found that the Click Connect system works pretty well, especially compared to other inexpensive offerings. It’s not as snazzy as something like a Peg Perego, but it also costs a fraction as much.
Of course, the downside of the Graco system is that you’re locked into using Graco car seats for as long as you use the stroller. If you want to use other brands’ models, you’ll need to switch to a universal base like the Joovy below. The Joovy is also built like a tank, so it does feel sturdier than the Graco overall.”
Joovy Twin Roo+ Car Seat Stroller
“This Joovy stroller base is the perfect starting point if you want to build your own travel system. I love Graco products for parents on a budget, but there are definitely nicer car seats available. This lets you shop around and use higher-end car seats from whichever brand you like. It can be adapted to suit practically anything on the market and ends up being just as easy as the Graco to use.
The biggest difference between the Joovy and the Graco, apart from compatibility, is how bare-bones it is. This is just a base: it doesn’t have infant seats that are separate from the car seats you’ll attach. The upside of that is that the frame is built like a tank and handles very well.
You don’t have to do without all your amenities, though! Remember that your car seats will come with sunshades for your little ones. The Joovy frame has a massive storage basket under the seating deck, too, plus 4 cup holders. And it still manages to be pretty convenient. It folds with one hand, has basic suspension and wheel locks/brakes.
The key thing is to figure out which car seats you want to use with the Joovy, and double-check that adapters are available!”
Buying Guide
Universal Or Brand-Specific: Your Choice
There are two ways to go with travel systems for twins. You don’t have too many models to choose from to begin with, but the key difference between the models that are available is their compatibility. You can either buy a stroller base that’s designed specifically to work with seats from the same brand, or a universal base that will accept practically any two car seats from major brands.

There are pros and cons to each approach. When you stick with one brand, you know things will work perfectly without any extra adapters or workarounds. These models also work on their own as strollers without the car seats, since they have infant seats already built in. Since universal bases have to leave lots of room for all sorts of different car seat designs from other brands, they tend to be very bare-bones. They’re just a sturdy, wheeled base with some storage space. However, they’ll work with any high-quality car seats you might already have. They’re also super flexible if you decide to switch car seat models/brands later on.
Know What You Need
Whenever you buy a travel system for twins, you’ll need to do your research to figure out exactly what you need to make it work. The models we’ve recommended above don’t come with car seats included, so be sure to grab those separately. If you’re getting a universal stroller base, you’re almost certainly going to need some adapters that are specific to the car seats you want to use. Doing your research up front will save headaches and hangups down the road!
