Sit and stand strollers are a great way to help older kids adjust to standing for longer hours and rely less on their stroller seat. The allow you to carry one child in a traditional infant seat, while an older child stands on a platform at the rear by your handles. The best sit and stand strollers allow you to swap out a rear seat, to gradually ease your older child into standing for longer periods. However, there are a lot of models which don’t offer that kind of versatile functionality. How do you know which to buy and which to avoid?
In this guide, our resident expert on strollers, Jenny L. Brown, will explain everything you need to know to find a good sit and stand model. Best Sit And Stand Stroller Reviews
Now that you’ve had a closer look at all our recommendations, which should you buy for your growing children?
The Graco is the obvious choice if you’re on a tight budget. It’s by far the least expensive of our recommendations, but still includes all the basic functions of a good sit and stand stroller. It probably won’t last as long as the Baby Trend or the Joovy, though. It’s also a bit clunkier in day-to-day use.
The Baby Trend is a nice midpoint between the budget-range Graco and the premium Joovy. It’s sturdier than the Graco and accepts a wider range of car seats for use as a travel system. The sun protection is better, and so is the general functionality of the adjustments and fittings. Get this if you want something better than the budget range without spending more than $200.
The Joovy is the most expensive model in this category, but it’s worth it in terms of convenience and user-friendliness. It’s the lightest and the best-equipped of the pack. It works with practically any car seat, as well as in configurations with two infant seats. You’ll pay a bit more for this than the Graco or the Baby trend, but you’ll definitely get your money’s worth! However, if you can’t afford the Joovy, the Graco and Baby Trend do give you the same basic functionality. Although it’s hard to pick just one model as the best sit and stand stroller, we’d have to say we’d give this accolade to the Baby Trend Sit And Stand Double Stroller thanks to its additional functionality and easy folding mechanism.
